This is my first year signing up for yuletide. I typically only maintain livejournal or dreamwidth for kink memes, exchanges, and communities, so neither have any actual content, but I have a tumblr that you can find pretty much anything you need to know about my preferences on!

Sparks Nevada: Marshal on Mars

(Sparks Nevada, Croach the Tracker, The Red Plains Rider)

Thrilling Adventure Hour is a modern podcast in the style of old radio shows, and my favourite segment is Sparks Nevada: a space operatic western. Since it’s a mostly-verbal fandom, I want to describe to you how I see the characters. You don’t have to stick to them though, if you have stronger ideas!

Sparks Nevada: In canon he’s described as having red hair (Croach the Tracker calls him a “tall glass of ginger ale” and it’s adorable). I imagine him as rather short, at least a head shorter than Red, however, and very barrel chested, with thin bowlegs and dark skin. I think he’d be clean-shaven, fairly heavily scarred, and a little chubby if you’re writing at the end of the more recent episodes (after Croach calls him fat when Croach was drunk and Sparks came back from a cattle drive with a gourmet chef). The Red Plains Rider: In the comics, she’s drawn as a white woman with red hair, but I like the idea of her being of south Indian descent, with long dark hair, and rosy cheeks. She’s fairly tall, maybe five foot eight, a head and a half shorter than Croach, and a full two heads shorter than Cactoid Jim; fairly muscular with strong thighs and also bowlegged, small-chested, and bright-eyed. Croach the Tracker: Blue skin, almost python-like, with patches of dark and lighter blues, dressed primarily in G’loot Praktaw animal skins and hand-worked leathers, long, hanging antennas, and big dark eyes. He’d be thin with corded musculature and barely any nose or lips at all. No ears, but humanoid, with five fingers and five toes. Wiki.

Prompts

I have a couple ideas for fics, but I’m not married to them if you have something else you’re inspired by! I would prefer ship fic of this OT3, but if you would rather write gen or only two out of three together, I’m fine with that, too! I’m not particularly fussy when it comes to these three and their relationships, so whatever you come up with, I’m sure will be lovely!

1. Case fic! War on the horizon? New galactic threat? Robot outlaws’ dangerous illegal plot? Up to you! The gang just has to work together, and maybe use their various skills in ways they didn’t expect! I would love if Sparks’s skills and love of paperwork broke open the case somehow, or the gang is saved by Croach’s strange bodily functions, or Red’s dual identity as a human and a member of the Tribe play a key role in saving them from a hairy situation!

2. When I first started listening to Marshal on Mars, when they talked about his robot fists, I thought they literally meant he had robot fists/arms. I’d like a fic where this is true, and he keeps it as quiet as he can, due to cyborg prejudice. Maybe that’s why he left the USSA after the War with Earth’s Moon? Up to you, but he the only people who know are his parents, and they pretend he’s normal most of the time. Then, something happens to reveal this to Croach and Red. How do they react?

3. Something dealing with Sparks Nevada’s insecurity and emotional issues. Maybe Barkeep Mordecai counsels Croach the Tracker and The Red Plains Rider on how to deal with him and helps them get together, since he was the one who rode on a cattle drive with Sparks for months?

4. Accidental marriage. Aliens made them do it. Sex pollen. Any mix of those tropes, but without maliciousness or even foreknowledge on the part of Sparks, Croach, and Red. Dealing with differences in alien biology is alright too!

Do Not Wants

• Dubious consent outside of previously stated tropes. The dubiousness of Jib Janeen’s actions can be referenced, but nothing besides that.

• Hard-core: porn is ok, even light bondage, body worship etc, and I'd love xeno kink for Croach's alien physiology. but I don’t really want far outside vanilla sex for these guys.

• Male pregnancy: it’s canon that it’s possible, and you can reference it, but I don’t want it to be the focus of the fic at all.

• Pregnancy: Again, you can reference the baby they thought they might have, but I don’t want it in the fic.

The Musketeers 2014

The Musketeers is a series on BBC, focused on the early adventures of Athos, Porthos, Aramis, and d’Artagnan. I especially love the amount of attention and screen time the women like Queen Anne, Milady de Winter, and Constance get!

Prompts

I am fond of several ships within the series, but would be just as happy with gen fic, if that is your preference! My ships are Athos/Porthos/Aramis/d’Artagnan in any combination or all of them, Athos/Milady de Winter, d’Artagnan/Constance, and Aramis and Porthos with any of their many lovely associates from the series!

1. Case fic! You can do anything you like with this! You can take the boys back to before d’Artagnan was their companion even. Anything you like with an adventure and solving some kind of mystery! Like to reimagine stories from the books? Go ahead! Anything is open to you here as long as the boys work together and maybe grow closer as a unit through their trials!

2. D’Artagnan learning about and dealing with each of the others’ pasts. One of Porthos’s old rivals comes sniffing around, or Ararmis’s old enemies on the battlefield gunning for him, or Athos’s penchant for drink and stoicism comes back to bite him-- d’Artagnan deals with it all, quietly and efficiently. In turn the others do the same for him!

3. AU where it wasn’t a set up and d’Artagnan over the course of the series actually does fall for Milady, and she for him-- and both have a riot of confused feelings for Athos they work out in one another. When d’Artagnan is shot, they both feel incredibly betrayed by Athos.

4. Athos and d’Artagnan style romantic comedy with sword-fighting! Aramis and Porthos are amused, up until they’re not.

Do Not Wants

• Noncon. Dubious consent involving alcohol or seduction/coercion are ok though, as long as consent is mostly there.

• Character Death. Grievous injury is ok, as long as it’s not too graphic.

• Period appropriate homophobia/misogyny/racism. I know it existed, I just don’t want to focus on it.

• Anal sex/Vaginal sex/penetration. Oral is ok, and intercrural, but penetrative sex doesn’t really do it for me.

Pushing Daisies

(Ned, Charlotte Charles, Emerson Cod)

Ned the Piemaker brought his childhood sweetheart Charlotte Charles back to life, only to never be able to touch her again. Together with Ned’s best friend Emerson Cod, they solve crimes together!

Prompts

I ship Ned/Chuck and Ned/Emerson/Chuck, but the ships aren’t integral to my enjoyment of Pushing Daisies fic, so feel free to run with gen fic if you prefer!

1. Case fic! (I sense a theme with these prompts…) Set around the time Ned resolves to only be a pie maker and not a dead-waker, Emerson and Chuck get into a heavy case with several confusing murders and surrounding crimes-- turns out they stumbled across the Russian Mob. Unfortunately, this leads to Ned being discovered and taken, so now Chuck and Emerson must work against the clock to find their friend-- only to come across Edward Edwards, Ned’s absent father, and the origins of the three curious pocket watches Charles Charles, Edward Edwards, and Dwight Dixon once carried.

2. Ned is determined to find a cure for his condition, so he might once again touch Chuck, sure that she is growing frustrated with their relationship. He enlists Emerson to help him find anything that might fix this problem-- discovering more about the true origins of Ned’s powers along the way!

3. Sex alternatives for Ned and Chuck lead to fun in the bedroom! What new ways can they find to be together?
